| “Ian's photographs for our wedding are amazing. Ian also
took the wedding photographs for my sisters wedding and two
other close friends of mine and I would have no hestitation in
recommending him for your special day. As a family we have also
been to a family portrait sesson with him, which was great fun
and again he produced some fab pics, we definitely would use Ian
again for any further professional photographs in the future.” -

Our approach to Wedding Photography
We have a passion for creating images that capture the
love, fun and atmosphere of every wedding. We do not
dominate your wedding day, after all, it is your day,
not ours! For most of the time you won’t even notice
we’re there. Instead, we make sure you’re having a
really great time. It is at this time we get our best
images. We like to capture that impromptu moment, that
special kiss or hug, little tear or belly laugh. We like
our photographs to really bring back memories of your
day. It’s your job to have the best day of your life,
and our job to create a stunning collection of truly
beautiful wedding photographs. We feel extremely
privileged to be able to carry out our passion for
photography in such a way that the images mean so much
to each family involved.
Why it’s so important to choose the right
photographer?
After you have spent a fortune on the dress which will
end up in the attic, the flowers of which the petals
will fall, the delicious cake, which will be eaten, the
wedding car, which will return to the garage, the
location and venue, the food and champagne which will
all be enjoyed, the only thing you are left with are the
memories and the photographs. Your wedding photographs
will be with you and your children and your children’s
children for years to come. Shouldn’t you expect
the very best!
A good wedding photographer doesn’t just take photos. A
good wedding photographer has mastered the art of
Storytelling, can see and anticipate the moments that
make a story, and can make ordinary events,
extraordinary. We have got the experience and expertise
to create the Story of your day.
At the very heart of our business is our Clients. The
importance of getting to know and building up a rapport
between our selves and the Couple before the big day, is
paramount. This gives us the understanding of knowing
you and the exact style of photography you want for your
special day.
It is our aim to ensure we fully understand how you want
your day to run and also what is important to you on
your big day.

“For as long as I can remember, I have been passionate
about taking pictures. I am so lucky to be able to
combine my hobby as my job.
I am an Associate of the British Institute of
Professional Photography and the Masters Photographers
Association, and just love taking pictures. I really
like photographing weddings, never thought I would, but
I’ve really taken to it, and have been doing so,
successfully for 12 years now. I find it a real
privilege to be the person taking the photographs.
I have been married to Jo for 17 years and we have two
sons, Thomas 15 and Harry 12, hopefully, one of them
will want to follow my love for photography. Tom is
already showing great photoshop skills.
The other love of my life, is Maisie, our gorgeous
cocker spaniel.
There’s nothing I like to do more in my spare time, than
walking the dog up a mountain with my camera!
It has been said that I take great pictures and am good
with people – So I guess that sums me up pretty well. I
love to take creative pictures that evoke memories.”
Jo
"I started out my career as Graphic Designer back in
1989-oooh. I feel old now! It is my husband Ian’s
passion for photography that set me off too with a
camera. He is such an inspiration to me.
I used to go along to weddings with him, and just assist
or carry the bag. He gave me a camera and told me to get
stuck in. I used to just click away, but now I am a
great photographer in my own right – We compliment each
other very well. I work alongside either Ian or Dan at
weddings and I spend time with the bride and girlies on
the morning of the wedding, curlers, lipsticks, garters
and all, and then spend time taking really beautiful and
natural shots of the wedding party. I think weddings are
great fun, I love to be involved in them, and can never
imagine not doing this job. I get to meet all sorts of
people and share the best day of their lives with them.
Who wouldn’t want to do that?
When I do have any spare time, which is quite rare at
the moment, I enjoy spending time with our family, and
dog Maisie. We are very lucky to have both sets of
parents nearby and we have a great deal of support from
them all. I enjoy listening to most types of music,
especially the 80’s, and love cooking, entertaining and
feeding friends and family."
Dan
"I’ve been a professional photographer for thirty years
now. I was thrilled when Ian asked me to join Storybook
Weddings, over 5 years ago now. I love the challenge
that every wedding brings.
Although in many respects there are great similarities
between weddings, I love the way Ian and Jo bring a
unique magic to every album they make.
Equally, I feel we all endeavour to make the day as much
fun as we can and I feel this reflects in our work.
I shoot weddings alongside Jo, and over the years, we
have developed a great rapport, we both know intuitively
what each other is doing. This has allowed us both a
great freedom to work our own particular brand of
‘Storybook magic’.
I love weddings as it allows me to push my own
boundaries, bringing together a unique skill set, under
different conditions every time.
When I’m not shooting weddings I work on film sets and
arena concerts for a varied clientele, fulfilling a
variety of specialist skills."
Craig
"I've been interested in photography since I got my first
Olympus film camera as a gift in my early teens. I
didn’t take photography too seriously back then and I
drifted away from it in my early twenties.
What rekindled the flame or so to speak was when my wife
and I booked Ian & Jo to photograph our wedding. The
images they produced we're breathtaking. It was my
enthusiasm for taking photographs that Ian and Jo
spotted, and I was delighted when they invited me to
join their team.
I been photographing weddings professionally for
Storybook Weddings for four years now and I just love to
be able to photograph and be part of such an important
day. I work alongside Ian on the day, and Love it!
I've been married to my wife Kim for four years now and
we have a son Lewis who is 18 months old. If I get any
spare time from family life then you'd find me on the
golf course attempting to play golf."
